Here is a quick review of the Dane County housing number for December. 

In December, the housing market in Dane County showed some notable trends. The number of sales was 374, which is a 6.5% decrease compared to the previous year. But, the median sale price was $399,900, reflecting a 10.2% increase from the same period last year.

Interestingly, the average percentage over asking was about 1% improvement from the previous year, suggesting demand was slightly higher. The total volume of sales amounted to $165,618,044, marking a 2.2% decrease from the previous year, which is reflective of less homes on the market in October and November. 

New listings delivered in December, however, were 223, up 18.0% from the previous year. Currently, there are 501 active listings in the market.

Overall, while the number of sales and total volume experienced a slight decline, the median sale price and new listings indicate some positive aspects in the Dane County housing market for December.
